    Default Lowrance 3500C

Hi guys, been out on the water playing with my new GPS  , Lowrance 3500C, What a pearler, color is so much better, The detail on the Navronics maps is brilliant, not putting down C-Map but the latest maps are so much better, we where crossing lines on the map and the sounder was reacting at exactly the same time,I have even found a couple of new holes that I never knew were there before.

Anyone wishing to purchase a good quality Combo GPS/ Sounder ,I still have my old Hummingbird NS25 unit 4 sale
It has a C-Map for Portland - Batemans bay Asking $650.

    Hi Steve
    Timely post.
I'm tossing up between Furuno 1650 and the Lowrance 3500C.
I was leaning very much towards the 3500C due to tech specs etc, but for some reason cannot let go of Furuno (I run a Furuno FCV 600L sounder and it is superb).
Another reason in favour of the Lowrance is that it takes the Navionics XL3 charts. However, still not sure whether they are better or not than the current C-Map NT+ charts.
Mate of mine has Navionics in his Raymarine 435i, and I'm really not that impressed with the detail etc.
One day, if you don't mind, I'd like to have a gander at your unit before I spend my hard earned.
    cheers
    Pete

Hi guys, don't know if this will help you, but may be of interest, Grays online have an auction of some Lowrance sounder/gps gear.
