Hey all, just found out i'll be heading up north for a few weeks in a months time! I'll be around the Port douglas area and just wanted to know any spots that I can give a go? I did go to the mossman gorge last time and I am keen to go back there but I think you're not allowed to fish there? (First time I went there was for fun no rods involved) Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Nathan.

I was wondering if anyone has used these on their roof racks as a rod carrier and if they're any good

I have a number of 12' to 14' one piece rods which are a pain in the butt to transport and was looking at these for an option

HI all.

Ive been doing a little reading on the pressure changes within our weather systems, and I have also read about its ability to 'bring' fish on. I am curious on stories about the truth, or complete rubbish about this myth.
Is it just a coincidence, or can the fish the pressure change.

Lets say they can, do they prefer the rise or fall of pressure?

Hi Tackleboxers just heard that Nsw fisheries have some proposed new rules coming in,here is a snippet

Murray Cod (Maccullochella peelii peelii)
Proposal: Reduce the bag limit of Murray Cod from 2 to 1 and the possession limit from 4 to 2; introduce a catch and release requirement for all Murray Cod caught over 80 cm; and permit the taking of up to 1 Murray Cod per person during the closed season within listed recreational impoundments that are reliant on stocking and/or have lower recruitment potential
This option is proposed to provide greater protection for Murray Cod to ensure long term sustainability of cod stocks and enhance the growth and size of the cod fishery in the longer term as well as provide fishing opportunities in the closed season. Here is the link http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fisheries/...al/info/review have your say by doing the online submission form cheers Dave
