The trout are a colourful fish when lurking in the Tassy tannin stained waters Ant .
The Western Lakes fish are in their own league when it comes to colour ,though our fish in the SW are pretty special too

Here is a nice fish from last week and one of a bigger fish i hooked after missing a strike .
Nice solid Brown taken on a #16 nymph .

    Big fish .....

I felt alot of weight on the line before i stopped ,thats for sure ,OOOPPPSS !!!
Like you said the little hooks are pretty forgiving and the forcepts done the trick in removing the unwanted fly from the face !

Really gotta ease up on my strike though lol, he came in over my head!!

Pitty about the lack of fish, still any day fishing is a good one !
The trick with the small fish is to catch them in the air when struck to hard ,Ha Ha !

After a few weeks without a computer i thought it was time for a post .
Been here there and everywhere of late with even my Bro turning up for a weekend of fishing .
Also had Mannablue out for a river session then an arvo wading the lake .
We found a weapon in the river and this fish was landed on 4lb tippet and the fly was an olive wooly bugger .
Estimated around 6lb and released .

A nice fish from stripping two nymph's in the lake .
MB seen the backing at one stage :D

I had my fair share on the bank ,also using the twin nymph rig on the floating line .

My Bro with his best landed Browny for the weekend .He did loose a few cracking fish which has him anticapating his return to Tas .

One of his many Bow Diddly's ...

A good session in the river was had with Matty where we landed quite a few feisty fish .
Matty being peeled of by a nice little Rainbow .

    Result ...

My best for the river session with Matty .

There was also a double hook up ;)

I did throw some lures at times with some good results .

More nymph's were thrown with a mate from Slowbart .
It was a epic morning session with many lessons learnt and fish landed .

Magic colours in these Browns ,rivals for the Western Lakes fish with colouration ...

Another speccy looking fish on the mayfly nymph ...

    More Bows ...

    More Browns ...

    More Bows ...

Mate from Slowbart sorted out quite a few nice fish .
Huge hands on this unit and its hard to do the fish justice with digits of that size !

    Noice fish again ...

Another drag washer wearing Bow on the old school Fenwick :D

Looks like the Tyenna and surrounding rivers may fish well in the coming week with the many sprinklings of rain we are receiving ATM ;)
