Mick,
It was on mate, I was just red in the face, think it had more to do with the sheer amount of wind that my face copped all day lol. Ended up with no permanent sunburn, but did manage to burn my eyeballs. There was a lesson learned there, never ever EVER go on the water without a set of sunnies and keep a spare set in the Tacklebox! I forgot mine thanks to a 4am departure :s
Cheers,
Sam

Just one more cast
Fished the Cod opening Classic, was a dismal weekend for me, very slow going and not so great conditions with the water being cold and dirty, besides that the weather was good except for the wind. All up i managed to get a nice 37.5cm reddie and a tiny carp, my mate had a better weekend catching a 51.5cm cod on cheese saturday morning and a 42cm yella on sunday morning, which unfortunately was accidentally released before a photo could be taken :(. Besides these fish, no other strikes or hits were had from fish. Cannot wait until conditions improve, hopefully get onto some cod on friday when i head out to a spot. Here are some pics.

Fished the COC for the opening. The wife Dropped good hard hit and run Fish on the Friday and landed a 57 the same day. fished all day on the Saturday and only the one yellow the old man got at 6:37. The worst thing was that the Yella was 58cm... Good fish but minutes to late... Did not want to put the boat on the water in the trees the next morning so fished the river for the last couple of hours for nothing.
