There are just soooooooo many great yellowbelly lures around its hard to know where to start. A good lipless crankbait is a good start as are spinnerbaits. Stumpjumpers are another good one and cheap so it hurts less loosing them to snags.
    Cheers , Davo.

Seconded. If you are worried about $$$, aoid Jackalls and go for the kokoda knock off versions - at ~$7 you are more likely to throw them in to fishy places (hard up against snags), and won't be too worried about losing them. They still have a great action and definitely catch fish. Colour wise is mostly up to you - all will catch fish. Your best bet is to buy a range of lures in different colours so if something isn't working while you are out, you can change to a new colour that might just trigger them. For basics, try a green/ yellow lure and a darker colour like purple or black.

    Good luck mate!!

Good reply BigJo , to add to that if your going to use the kakodas you should upgrade the hooks to something like owners , I've seen the standar hooks fail all to often.
    Cheers , Davo.

I haven't seen soft plastuics mentioned here yet. People are hesitant to targert GP with them. I admit I was at first but after breaking my GP pb 3 times in the past 2 weeks with them I am a convert. Also they are cheaper than any spinner bait or hard body so loosing them doesn't hurt as much.
