    Default No worries in Auz

    G' Day Everybody,

Having recently moved to Adelaide from South Africa I have finally started fishing once more and really enjoying it. Bit difficult coming from another country and figuring out the good spots and learning by trial and error. I have tended to avaoid metro beachs and therefore travel slightly further and enjoy Parsons, Myponga, Murray mouth and Eyre Peninsula.

Problem is that these are fair distance from the city and wondering what (if any) spots in the Metro waters yield Salmon and squid. A site on net suggests Outer Harbor. All I know its near Port Adelaide but not sure where exactly.

    Any advice suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Luke
P.S. Stumbled across this site when I did a search for fishing spots in Metro..

    Welcome to Tacklebox,
Dunno much about fishing in Adelaide mate, but I would be doin a search for a tackle shop near you, go in and have a yarn to whoever is working there and buy a little bit of what they recommend. Make sure you go back later and tell them how you went, you might make a great friend and they might unlock a few secret spots for you.
    Good luck mate,
    Mick.

Hey LukeE, I would suggest you go to Welcome to Strike & Hook and have a look there.
That site is dedicated to fishing in South Australia, and I'm sure they could help you out.

    Cheers,

    Sam

There are a number of tacklebox members that are based in S.A.I would give you some spots but its been 20 years since i fished in adelaide.Thompsons beach, port gawler,st kilda are some of the spots i used to fish.Good crabbing if you like blue swimmers.South australia boasts some of the best snapper fishing in australia. But you will need a boat or jump on one of the charter boats for a days fishing up the gulf towards whyalla.
