This is a very good indication of what we, as fishos, are fighting against.
It is social engineering 'PETA" style.
Noite that this is a 'comic' produced by PETA.
So whom are comics aimed at? Yep - the kiddies.
As I have repeatedly stated these grrne groupos are very cashed up, dedicated, & know how to lobby extrenely well.
Not just lobbying polliticians, but your children also.
PETA are an insidious group that will stoop to any depths to attack your rights.
Yeah this sort of thing is quite funny to you & I, but to a young kid that is reading this it can be extremely serious & very upsetting.
It might seem like some sort of sick internet stunt but they are distributing this type of material amongst kids both over the internet & through the backdoor via the school system on a constant basis.

I wont go on any longer but I hope that everyone on this forum will read this, take a look at what these nutters are producing & distributing amongst oyur kids, & keep in mind that this IS a very serious thrat to your rights.
    Dont take this lightly.

    Bill.

That last sentance about keeping your kitties and doggies away from daddy as he is just a senseless animal killer, just shows there whole argument is biased and flawed.

What sport/hobbie has the largest following worldwide? Fishing!! Apparently there are billions of sensless animal killers that should be banned from keeping animals.

Mind you don't tell the kiddies, that I have reduced the populations of Rabbit and Roo from Winnie the Poo. Fox from wind in the Willows and heaps of the three little pigs.

I bet you these great unwashed use blood and bone or charlie carp on there vegi gardens.

Yeah the problem is that the kids reading this stuff dont know how wrong it is.
Expose em to enough of it & they will sooner or later start believing this rubbish.
It's very insidious & it's meant to appeal to the kids that are too young to understand.
    It's social engineering.
Many kids grow up with the idea that all pigs are the same as 'Babe' or 'Wilbur' (Charlottes web) and deer are all nice & cuddly such as Bambi. Then when you start trying to show em where a venison steak comes from they already have preconceived ideas imprinted into their brains.

Dont dismiss the potency of what they are peddling to our kids.
To you & me it's mindless, funny drivel.
To young, impressionable kids it's the truth.

This mob are very cunning in how they fight.
They're getting at you through your kids.

Not getting at me through my kids , or anybody elses kids that I know for that matter.

My kids know exactly where everything they eat comes from , they fish they come shooting and they help clean what we catch or shoot.
Man they even help with the killing and preparing of the lambs on our place.

Any kids that beleive that their dad is a puppy killing mass murderer just because he catches a fish is already seriously deluded.Fact.

Dave I reckon you've touched on the main issue here...
There are a lot of kids that don't know where eggs, milk or meat comes from. They just assume it comes from the supermarket. I reckon it's just lazy parenting to be honest, but I can understand how some parents just wouldn't think of showing their kids where stuff comes from.

    cheers,

    Sam

Fact is that they are out there peddling this trash to kids.
Ok, so YOUR kids are fine with fishing. Great.
But what about your neighbors? Or the bloke's that lives down the road.
Let's assume that almost everyone's kids are fine.
Let's assume that only 1 in every 100 are taken in by this rubbish.
How many kids does that relates to???
I'll tell ya how many - enough to get ya fishing taken away from ya when they start voting for political parties opposed to hunting/fishing, based on this crap.

These organisations need to be fought against at every step.
That includes people whose kids are fine with their fishing also.
By all means educate your kids to the realities of life, but then also educate them in regard to how other people tell lies to try to take away your rights. It's not good enough that your kids are 'right with fishing'.
They need to know that these insidious groups are out there spreading their lies & crap.

    Hey Sam.
I think there is an element of Lazy parenting involved for sure, but it's also not quite that simple.
Kids often spend more time with their friends than they do with their parents.
How many parents know what they're kids are up to 100% of the time?
Yeah, maybe they should, but do they?

My GF is a primary school teacher & she hears this rubbish constantly.
You know there's kids out there that actually believe that before colour TV came along the world itself was actually black & white, coz that's the way it was shown on TV.
Yes I know how stupid it sounds but that is the gospel truth.
Often parents aren't aware of what their kids are being exposed to.
Then, as you said, there's also those that couldn't care less.
Unfortunately the kids of lazy parents also get to vote when they're old enough.

There was recently a Jamie Oliver program on TV about how unhealthy kids are in America.
JO went into a classroom in a local school over there & asked the kids to name several common vegies (pototoes, tomatoes, carrots, beens, peas, etc).
You know not one single kid could name even 1 of those vegies.
Yet every kid new the names of every fast food in town.
He also carried out a very interesting experiment (which failed to his dismay).
He took a whole chicken into class.
He then started taking the various cuts off the bird until there was nothing but the carcass left.
He then showed the kids how the carcass, bones, innards, etc were all ground up together, with additives mixed in.
He then fried the lot of this disgusting mess up in breadcrumbs.
The kids were almost physically sick watching it, but in the end they were quite happy to eat the rubbish as it looked like 'chicken nuggets'. JO could not believe it.
Even after educating them as to what goes into their fast food those kids were still willing to eat it.
Such was the power of the social engineering that they had been exposed to.

So anyone thinking that this rubbish that PETA puts out there wont get to their kids is very mistaken.
Expose kids to enough of this social engineering & they WILL start believing it & condemning their own parents.
No matter how well educated you think you have them in regard to lifes realities.

    Bill.
