    Default alvey wooden reel

    hi i have just joined ,i have a wooden alvey reel which i would like the value of. it has the number 500 on the back which i,m assuming is the model number ty

    I have one of these too and I need some parts (handle, drag washers and mechanism).
    I checked the site provided by you Chicka but was unable to locate details on my particular reel, it looks like a 3" or 4" blackfish reel but there are nomarking on the plate of my reel so it def Vintage but unknown model (I can take piccies if it helps)
    I am thinkin of restoring it to original condition if I can then use it on my grandfathers 10' cane/glass rod for bream and Whiting off the sand and on the bars in the Parra and LC Rivers.

    If anyone has any ideas on where else I can get spare parts or advbice opn restoration of it then pls send me a PM

    Hi Ty,
    Can you check the number again, is it a 500 A3, 500 C3 and does it have a line guide.Thks Dave
