    Default Swains Reef Fishing

    Hi guys I am heading up to swains reef in about 6 weeks . At the moment I am taking a couple of eggbeaters(10 &15kg) and a couple of overheads(15 &24kg) plus a heap of terminal tackle.Anyone want to make any suggestions on any further gear I should take??? PHILLIP..

    it can get very choppy on the water i suggest you take a good waterproof jacket, insect repellant, ear plugs if you are sharing a cabin with a snorer.
    the last time i went to fnq 2 guys on the trip were using 12ft 2 peice rods
    with alveys with 80lb mono.They were flicking unweighted baits on the edges of the reefs and they caught heaps.

    Iam taking a 2.1 mtr light game rod that will be ideal for casting unweighted baits and lures. Thanks for the advice didn't think of insect repellent !!!! Phillip
