Anyone used one of these? Pro's n cons?
Considering a Sealine Interline at $150 odd oxfords but cant justify 550 for a tournament series.
Look to be the duck's guts and I love the principle, but are they technology for technology's sake?

Hi i have a few interline rods ,you get what you pay for very much in this style of rod ,would not buy a cheapy ,the inside is what makes or brakes them ,salt build up can be an isue if used in salt water and not cleand right will cut down in casting distance ,the tournament master dry or megdry have a lot better insides thay reple water and dry on the inside quicker , when they hold water on the iner wall this makes the line stick and drops casting distance ,they are one of the best rods ive fished with. just about to buy another on a japan auction site only 1 hour left and im winning it at this time with 155 dollars its worth around the 1000 dollars will go to around 250 dollars if i must ,plenty of good buys in japan at the monment . i think if you dont use the interline guide wire it also scratches inside the blank walls. ive looked at them heaps in the daiwa catalogue but id only use them for fresh, i wouldnt use one in the surf and stuff like he said with salt buildup. like how could you clean the inside of it and polish it and stuff. salt just grows and grows when it dries
looks like I'm about to find out, guys!![]()

Been thinking about buyoing one of these designed for sabiki jig use.
Like the idea of nbeing able to wind the sabiki into the rod for storage.
These aren't exacly the same as the Daiwa offerings you've been looking at but they are based on the same principle.
Fortunately you dont need an expensive rod for sabiki bait fishing.

yeah I just love the principle on paper, Bill. Obviously the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, but after watching and talking with Leigh, I'm pretty sold on the idea. I'll be predominantly (and I guess almost exclusively ) using it for surf/beach, to get some decent distance and placement.
If the weather cooperates, the beast will be christened this weekend.
Will let y'all know
cheers

look forward to it mate!.and @ bart ive seen those sabiki rods what do they want for that price wise?
every 2 or 3 session the best thing to do to remove any salt is run some warm water thru it in the shower ,i remove the but screew cap hold my hand over the tip and fill with warm water ,let it drain and repeat a few times
