    Default Well overdue rod upgrade..

    hey guys,
ive been using a cheap jarvis walker rod since i started fishing regularly and not that I have had any issues i feel like an upgrade to get a bit more serious about fishing. I mainly fish out of a boat(in port phillip bay), at the moment just catching alot of flathead but when the time comes later in the year I will be chasing snapper out in the boat most days.

I am looking to spend around 150 - 250 any help on what sort of rod might be suitable for my needs would be great.

    thanks

    hey peachy,

some good rods around that mark include, daiwa advantage, shimano raider and t-curve, then you have your strudwicks like softbodz etc. also have a look at live fibre rods but for those applications id say an adavantage would be your best bet

your weedbeds are your salad bars for fish, it really is a lucky dip
