Default Last trip for season! Any interest in a Tacklebox/Vic Angler week-end on 18/20th

Last trip for season! Any interest in a Tacklebox/Vic Angler week-end on 18/20th (Fri-Sun) Aug????

This week-end is for get together purposes and a fish is a bonus. Warm fire, cold drinks and a bunch of great blokes along one of our magnificent waters to end the season.

I'd like to hear some suggestions and we need to keep the trip under 3 hours for for all to have a chance to get there.

Torrumbarry again comes to mind as is quite central and good deep winter trolling water but very open to suggestions.

    G'day all,
I just checked the GPS and the only Torrumbarry that I could find is about 20 Kms NW of Echuca. Is that the one you are talking about Steady?

Sure is Mike .... Heading towards Echuca just follow signs towards Kerang. About 25 mins (if that) past Echuca is Torrumbarry
Can usually be found on the water somewhere between Narooma and Metung.

And this time we'll camp just a tad upstream of the wier which would be at the end of the Torrumbarry-Wier Rd. You boys with the fancy GPS gear, can you tell me if this road comes off the Murray Valley Hwy? I think it does and if I'm correct it should be the turn off after the Headworks Rd (near the Pub?)?

Once you get to the wier (next to Torrumbarry Carevan Park) there is a track heading upstream which you access from the car park. Just follow this along the river through the no camping area and we'll set up camp there somewhere.

Jason, do you remember seeing a boat ramp there?

I cant get up there till late Friday night as I'm stuck doing a Uni course and I plan to camp the Fri & Sat nights heading home Sunday after lunch.

I cant promise much succes in the fishing however there must be some great deep water to troll and explore but it's more about a get to together for the end of Cod season so bring your eskies full and plenty of good tucker.

Sounds like a plan. Does anyone have the GPS points of the campsite to make it easier to find as I haven't been there before.

    Cheers
