i live less then 100 meters from the Goulburn river so i fish there a lot. i catch lots of Murray cod, Trout cod, yellow belly, silver perch and carp.

Early November went bait fishing for a few hours and only got this one Murray cod.

At the time we where getting plenty of shrimp.

Caught this carp on a single worm after running out of bait. we decided to look for some bait found one worm and ended up with this carp. We are catching more carp then we did a few years ago because of the rising every few months.

I will keep you updated with my adventures. When cod season opens i will get out there more.
    cheers AJ

Haven't been fishing lately because of an injury on my leg. But finely got out and also caught some nice yellow belly on shrimp bobbing next to a big log jam in the Goulburn River.

What's this shrimp bobbing, AJ? I would assume that it may have something to do with a float, but you southerners talk a different language to us northern fishos.:D

the shrimp bobbing technique is easy, all it is a sinker threaded onto your line and then a hook. there is no float in this rig but one could be added.
The height of each lift in the rod that works for me is between 10 to 20cm and sometimes slow or fast.

    cheers AJ

I haven't been fishing much because of a $365 bill for alternator repairs to my car! Rumor has it that it sh!t itself in the Toolamba district about a week ago!
Good to see you getting amongst the fish and even better that you have taken the time to post it here...the few active members that we have certainly appreciate it and with some effort we may be able to attract more members to post reports.
    cheers

    Murray cray fishing
The first weekend of the season i was looking forward to go and catch a few crayfish.
I didn't think it was cold enough for them to be active but was still going out to have a go.
There was 4 of us we had 13 nets but could have put in 20, to much of a hassle to use that many.
We used lamb off cuts for bait.

these are from the first round from checking the nets

Good job Andrew and great to see someone posting reports here! Have you tried fishing at all? I heard a from a reliable source of a 90cm cod caught from your area a week or so ago.

As you should know my car is currently in the panel beaters waiting for a decision if it is to get repaired or go to car heaven! We may lose the fishmobile!:(
    cheers

Thinking of charging taxi fees for future fishing trips to cover costs!

Good job Andrew. You will find the river will be rising in the next few days as an environmental flow is released over the next couple days. I am not sure if that will affect things but if you leave nets in, just be wary of the rise.

On another note...I think you should be rewarded for your craying efforts and hereby declare that you have my permission to sit down for the IGA chips and gravy feast!
    cheers
