Camping is a BIG part of my life. There is nothing better than spending a few nights in the swag, eating food cooked on a fire and sharing it with people close to you.In the last couple of years i have done a lot of exploring.I will add some pics of a few of my favourite trips.I hope you will do the same and show me something/somewhere i havent seen before.

Yep , i think its the coldest night ive ever spent anywhere! In the freezer suit,in the sleeping bag,in the swag and i was still bloody cold. And then the fuel to get the fire started froze over.Yep it was cold alright.

Yep never forget that. The arvo before all the ground was mud.Next morning it was frozen solid. And the fuel froze on the kindling wood before you could light it.I dont think i got more than 10 minutes sleep that night.Between the wind trying to pick us up off the ground and bulls snoring hahahaha.

Here are some videos i made last year.

Thanks Dave. The missus got me a new swag for xmas. Same brand as the old one but with a mozzie net and poles. She remembered me last year up at tangangara when it was freezing, pulled the flap over my head to stop the frost, then at Hay this year pull the flap over my head to try and stop the mozzies. So she got me one of them flash swags now I wont have to worry about the mozzies or the frost :D:D. Actually havent tried it yet, but will be soon and cant bloody wait

    Cheers...Brett

I'ts an awsome present Davo. Wharf, I had the same problem a couple of years back at about 6pm. Every 3 or 4 casts the fly line would freeze up in the guides. My fingers were that cold I broke the ice with my teeth. After doing this a few times and having the fly hit me in the back of the head because of the side wind, I thought to myself this isn't fun and finished up for the night.... In the morning the Eucumbene river was completely frozen over near the mouth. (back when it had water and was at Providence flats)

    Cheers...Brett

Its been a few years since i saw providence with much water in it.Remember when eucumbene had over 60% water level. Those were the days when you went to seven gates and didnt have to drive all the way to the end of wallace island to fish.
