Ozzy you should be able to get one for about 70 bucks online new.
Definitely worth it, with your warranty and all that.

    Cheers mate,

New is the way to go, I got one from centrecom for $38. Most computer stores should have something around $40 to $50.

    WTF?

Anyways.. go a Pioneer DVD burner.. I have used every brand of burner you can imagin over the years and nothing stacks up to the pioneers.

Is it Sata or IDE? Does it have a small yellow or read cable going in to it or a big old grey ribbon?

Umart in Bris has the IDE for $35 and SATA for $37

Chinese gold farmers - every time I think they couldn't get any more cliched they surprise me yet again.

Anyway, since igttos has bumped it - I buy all of my PC gear from www.techbuy.com.au. Prices are pretty good and they combine postage for orders with multiple pieces.

yeah dont go second hand too risky
should be able to pick one up for about $60.
If you burn a lot of DVD's dont buy a cheap one pay a little more for performance, but weigh it up, if its an old computer you don't want to spend a lot.
The price of new computers these days is getting pretty low.
