New England Cod on fly!

    Went out on fri chasing Cod. Used a Floatboat and Floatube to cast in and around structure. Tackle that we used were a pair of Sage Largemouth Bass rods, Rio 10wt Tarpon sink tip and a full inter.
    Flies that worked were 2/0 & 4/0 rattling Clousers. Landed 5 Cod and 1 Golden Perch.

    great spot and better fish. and that yellowbelly has the biggest mouth on a yellowbelly i have ever seen.

    im jelous as. i haven't caught a cod and you can get then on fly haha good job mate nice flsh. did they fight

    i reckon i have only once got a cod over about 65cm that has fought much. as they start getting bigger they take it harder fight quickly and shortly then get dragged in and as you go to land them that take 1 or 2 more runs and thats the end of it. but i dont know what they would be like with fly.
