    Hi all
Just curious as to everyone's PB Murray cod as I need to know what to beat! I haven't measured mine but my best would not have been any bigger than 70 cm's. Two I got around the same size, one from the Murray on bait....shrimp I guess.

The other one came out of the Broken River at the base of the railway bridge at Shepparton. It was caught on a 13 cm jointed Rapala. Not a recognised cod lure but something I tried in the shallow water as I was losing too many deep diving lures. This was my first native fish I caught on a lure.

So what is your PB? Feel free to add any pics and the story behind the fish.
    Cheers
    Jim

Biggest i've got a pic of (somewhere,if i can find it i will scan it as it was pre-digital cameras) is 82 from up around the gulf about 20 years ago.Taken on a grub.Have caught bigger back in the bad old day's (pre banning of springers) but i don't think we need to go there in this day & age.

The biggest I’ve got went 76cm trolling in my kayak just behind my house on the Goulburn river. I was using an wee pee oar gee lure. The photo of it is my profile pic.
    Cheers AJ

My best two are 99cm and 96cm, both caught in the river between Bundalong and Mulwala. Can't wait to crack a metre!

I did not ever get a size one even when they only had to be 20", so no data available. Cheers, creekboy.

I got two one afternoon on lures , with in the hour, est size close to the metre. I never removed them from the water. Bigest I have measured 85cm caught on a yellow belly fly in Wyangala dam inmid winter. Ran the whole flyline out and straight down, I was only using 12lb tippet.
My youngest now 22, when he was 11 landed and 105cm cod on a big ray broughton deep diver, absolute epic fight.
    Cheers Pete

I've only caught 1 and that was with Davo's help. I don't care about the size it was, it was a COD. What a great day I don't know what I enjoyed most catching it or releasing it, I would say releasing it

The code word is on the first page and we have narrowed the mystery length down to between 9 cm's and 26 from memory. You should wrap this comp up in...5 hours!
    Cheers

Upgrade probably won't happen until Christmas this year. My Dad makes me use stupid bait such as Yabbies...

I've missed these little Carp competitions. Trouble is, i seemed to have misplaced my 'brag' mat, might have to try and find one before I head out today...

So you missed the comps?!! I know of a couple cats who enjoyed kicking your ar5e! They miss you too...although rumour has it one of them is in rehab!

A ruler will be fine...especially as the fish will not be that long. In case you haven't found it, the code word is 'volta'.
    Cheers

Yabbie tails of all things! We threw all the yabbies back and were about to go home, when I decided to use the tails from some of the yabbies that had died. 10 minutes later and voila...

    I'm still buzzing!
