Charles the Duck is barely flowing, and the fish is running at 29cm at Tarana, we are supposed to get some better rain this week end. I live in Bathurst and spend more time now hunting carp on fly , and leave the poor trout alone.

The Turon and Winburdale have nearly dried up, even some of the large holes, so they will be a write off for ant trout. Lake Lyal is always worth a look for cruising trout along the banks, and possibly the river below could be worth checking. The Campbells below Chifley would also be worth checking, lots of trout stocked here in the last year due to dry conditions.

Thanks everyone, fished Lyell last season and had a lot rainbows followers though hard to get takes, a bit of red in the lure seemed to help. Managed a few brownies but they seem to be getting long and skinny as the redfin fin increase.
