Just returned from a short trip up to St Clair. I left Bathurst Thursday morning, and returned Sunday. Fishing was hard with the cOLD snap, as as we mainly bank fish, found the excessivie weed hard going.
One highlight was getting a golden Perch of around 46cm on trhe very first cast on thursday arvo on a large bead woolly buggar.
Finished up with 8 bass and the one yella during a hard bite.
    Cheers pete

Good work I bet the bass on the fly gear would be an awsome fight

Yes especially the 42cm I got in among the trees on a sinking line. I felt a tap as it was sinking, I struck then it was on for young and old, as I could not give it any line.

I've only ever caught a couple of small browns on a fly I couldn't imagine wat a bass would pull like
