    Hey there,
Looking to do a Qld trip in the van in July and will be stopping off at Tin Can Bay - Staying with friends and then heading up to Hervey Bay for a week.
Any suggestion for this "mexican" heading north of the boarder to do some land base fishing.
    Cheer Jed

Urungan Pier, Jed, one of the top fishing platforms on the Qld coast.
Whiting and flatties in the shallows, good deep water off the end where you are likely to hook into anything, tuna, mackerel, trevally, queenies, shark etc.
Be aware that during school holidays it can be shoulder to shoulder fishing on the pier. Also be aware that it is a hotspot for car break-ins, in fact, the Sunshine Coast rivals the Gold Coast in crime stats.
