Welcome aboard the ship Chilli. You like Jalapeno? They're my favourite.

Thanks guys. Yep, love growing them too. In recent times I discovered those Fatalii chilis, unique flavour, even when dried. Most dried are just hot but the Fatalii's add a flavour too. Anyway, I went fishing yesterday at Cairn Curran, freezing cold, it drizzled rain, I got 2 small hits on my lure and that was it. Beat sitting around though watching TV. :)

Have them growing here too and use them in many dishes.
Our fishing; mostly whiting, using blood worms, has been excellent throughout winter. I guess we've had a hundred between us to date. We release many but love a feed now and then.
We've spent most of our time in the Tuross River a few kilometres up stream during the colder months.
Can't wait for the water to warm again and get into our famous flathead. Tuross Lake is a trophy flathead water and holds some big ones. I mostly fish with soft plastics then. There's nothing happening there at the moment.

I had to google that. Nice looking place mate. Love fishing in the ocean environments. Dont get much chance to do that these days. Lived in Barwon Heads when I was younger but havent been there for nearly 30 yrs. My fishing is for redfin and trout. Love chasing the big trout on soft plastics.

There's a lot of water here but very little access for shore fishing. Plenty of mud and mangroves and few roads in. I've yet to get a trout on SPs. Have had a place at Eucumbene for thirty years but don't get there often now. Young bloke still uses it. We mostly fly fished. Grew up catching redfin and they were much bigger than those I see today. My best was just over 5lb from Albercutcha but have seen one that clocked 8lb. Not sure of the spelling of Albercutcha. Been a long time since I fished in Vic.
Good to have you join our crew.
    Noel.

8lb reddie. Id like that. My best is 5. Once dreamt I caught a 25lb one. :D Was coloured like a reddie but shaped like a red emperor. What a fight, shame it was just a dream. :D

Hi Noel, I've been around although had a fair few personal things to deal with in the last year as well as work, not a lot of fishing in the last four months, just a few mediocre trips, cheers davo

I love the taste of chillies but don't eat it much now because I think it aggravates my artharitis (arthy/gout) must have inherited it from my old man, his elbows used to have about 40mm long lumps sticking out, he was a builder and I remember one day on site my cousin stuck an orange down each sleeve of his jumper to the outside of his elbows then walked out of the site shed/office and pretended to be the old man, doing a perfect job of imitating the old man,s mannerisms.
