    This is good because if I am not mistaken, the evaporation will lead to rainfall elsewhere.

    I thought this was only supposed to happen every 45 odd years or so it was flooded in the last 10 years I think ???

    You may be right! I have lost track of time but back when we had a drought for about 10 years...I have a feeling the lake filled close to when the drought broke.

    I too believe it did but the end result was thousands of young pelicans dying of starvation.
