fish are starting to fire but are patchy around the lake, we caught them all on spinnerbaits of a variety of colours in the end, darks & whites & flouros.

nah mitch, other than not using a jackall which i will often do if the spiinerbaits are quiet, as they were going well we didnt need to change from them.

Great work. Even though Mulwala gets a lot of fishing pressure it shows they are still there to be caught. I am there for several days starting this Friday so I hope they are still on the chew.

i fished Mul Sat/Sun/Mon and got absolutley skunked. was fishing the drop offs to deeper water along the old river around majors and threw every jackal, sb and mumbler in the box. have since found out the fish are up in the shallows and better fishing on the nsw side. water was still a little murky from the 4" a few weeks ago.

We fished further down the lake and got lucky and caught a few fish. I thought the water there was actually clearing up nicely from a few weeks ago. The fishing does definitely seem better in the shallows at the moment, but dont know about the NSW side being better. All our fish were caught on vic side and all caught on sb's.

    Mulwala

Just got back from having 5 days at lake mulwala. Great time, as always, with 31 cod caught, photographed and released. All taken in less than 4 metres of water, with sizes ranging from 50cm to 67. Surface temp is around 24 deg and word is that the cod will remain mostly in the shallows until a cold snap Then will be a good time to get the deep diving lures out.
