Fished the South Alligator last week chasing Barra. Fishing was slow at the start of the week with low tides and average reports. We started fishing the mouths of the creeks with lures but only picked up the odd small barra and annoying catfish. We started to cast hard into the banks with a drift with the current and the fishing improved. By the end of the week tides had improved and Leicharts rock bar started producing some good barra to 90cm averaging 70cm.
