JUST KEEP SWIMMING! A Golden Perch that was tagged 7 years ago in South Australia, is now happily swimming in the Goulburn River south of Shepparton. Its 1923km upstream journey is just short of the biggest ever recorded movement.
Maybe it has come to tease Jim...

That's incredible, I would not have thought a yella would travel too far out of it's patch, but a journey of that magnitude for a relatively small fish is up there with the best.

I wonder how many lures and baited hooks it ignored along the way?

Perhaps we could also wonder how many it grabbed and escaped from Jeff

Just face it...I am a fish magnet! This story has left me wondering, when there are fish kills due to blackwater events, why don't the fish move away? They must not be able to sense it until it is too late.
    Cheers

Would rather be a chick magnet!

A lot don’t sense a lure or bait. How often has a fish been caught with a hook in its mouth. But I have never heard of a lure in its mouth being caught.
